Delete your account

You can delete your Craterborn account at any time — immediately and permanently. You do not have to give a reason.
Option 1 — in the game
- Open the game and go to Settings (the gear icon at the top).
- In the Character code section, click Delete account.
- Confirm and type your character name.
Option 2 — here, without the game
All you need is your character code (Settings → Character code). The code proves the account is yours.
Character: . Type its name to confirm the deletion.
No code?
If your account is linked to an e-mail address, enter the game with Sign in with e-mail and delete the account in the settings. Otherwise write to contact@craterborn.com with your character name — without the code or the address the Administrator (see the privacy policy) cannot confirm the account is yours, so it may ask for details only the owner would know.
What is deleted
- the character: name, level, stash, gear, materials, statistics and leaderboard places,
- in-game currency (Marks) and gems — including purchased ones, with no refund of their value,
- the character code and the link to your e-mail address,
- your friends list and blocked players list,
- reports you filed and reports about your character,
- the purchase record kept with the account.
The character name goes back to the pool — someone else may pick it later.
What stays and for how long
- Server logs with the IP address — no longer than 30 days.
- Backups of the game database — no longer than 30 days. They serve only to restore the game after a failure.
- Aggregate statistics (daily numbers, e.g. how many people went down into the crater) — an account cannot be reconstructed from them.
- Transaction numbers without the character name — indefinitely, solely so that the same purchase cannot be assigned to another account.
- Payment data is kept by the seller of gems (Sold through Link, a Stripe company) or the app store under their own legal obligations, e.g. tax law.
